Protect your claim

Before You Talk to the Insurance Company

  • Don't give a recorded statement

You aren't required to give one to the other driver's insurer, and it's often used to cut your claim.

  • Don't say "I'm sorry" or "I'm fine"

Both get quoted back to you later.

  • Don't accept the first offer

Once you sign a release the claim is over, even if your pain gets worse.

  • Don't wait to see a doctor

Gaps in treatment are the insurer's favorite argument.

FAQ

Common Questions

How much does it cost to talk to you?

Nothing. The case review is free, and we work on contingency, so there is no attorney's fee unless we recover money for you. Clients may still be responsible for court costs and case expenses.

Do you help people outside Georgia?

Yes. We help injury victims across the United States. Joy Coleman is licensed in Georgia, so cases in other states are handled with a lawyer licensed in that state, with your written consent, and you keep one point of contact with our team.

How long do I have to file an injury claim?

It depends on the state. Many states allow two or three years, a few allow only one, and claims against a city, county or state can require written notice within months. Call us as soon as you can so no deadline is missed.

Should I talk to the other driver's insurance company?

Not before you talk to a lawyer. You are not required to give the other driver's insurer a recorded statement, and early statements are often used to reduce claims. Give them our number instead.

What if I was partly at fault?

In most states you can still recover something, reduced by your share of fault. The rules differ by state, which is why the evidence matters and why you should not admit fault at the scene.
